Job Description
This is a remote position.
This is a remote position located within the United States, preferably in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.
Join our Payroll Specialist team and become a key player in our growing Global Business Services (GBS) organization.
As a Workday Functional Expert - Senior Payroll Specialist, you'll manage payroll operations for our US and Canadian operations while serving as a subject matter expert (SME) in Workday functionality within the payroll department.
This role bridges the gap between IT / Technology support and payroll operations, offering exciting opportunities for career growth within our organization.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Drive process optimization in Workday to eliminate manual operations and enhance efficiency.
- Act as a key player in large-scale strategic projects impacting payroll operations.
- Conduct proactive audits to ensure data accuracy and compliance with SOX regulations.
- Collaborate with IT / Technology teams to troubleshoot Workday software issues.
- Handle confidential information securely and assist with year-end tax processing.
- Stay updated on federal and state regulations for payroll in the US and Canada.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or management information systems preferred.
- 3 years of experience with Workday HCM.
- 1 year supporting Workday Payroll.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to grasp a general knowledge of multiple disciplines and technologies.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
You're ahead of the game if you possess :
- 5 years of experience in payroll operations.
- Strong knowledge of Workday HR processes and policies, including Benefits, Compensation, and Reporting.
- Experience with Kronos and ADP is a plus.
Requirements
